About ordering hats from Cloche Call Designs
Cloche Call Designs is a women owned handmade hats business each hat is hand shaped and sewn by myself.
Do you accept returns?
I want you to love your Cloche Call Designs hat from the moment you put it on! If there are any serious issues with your hat I am happy to work with you to fix the problem.
If the hat does not fit I can remake it, but there will be a 25% restocking fee. Please double check your head circumference before selecting your size.
Returns only accepted on clean, undamaged hats within 30 days of receipt.
All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Construction Time and Shipping
All US orders shipped Priority Mail. International orders shipped using best method available.
A note about my hats. Each hat is hand crafted by myself, there is no one else. So all custom orders are given a ship by date of usually 6-10 weeks from the time you place your order. I do this to make sure there is plenty of time for your hat to get done, and get done well.
I can sometimes accept RUSH (2-4 week turn around) orders for a fee of $25-$50. Please contact me first: If I am not already fully booked I will be happy to accommodate you.
I will always be honest with you if I cannot make your hat in the time frame you request.
How do I find my hat size?
If you are unsure of your hat size you can measure the circumference of your head just over the top of your ears and up around the middle of your forehead. A 22.5" hat should fit anyone with a 22.25" to a 22.75" hat measurement.
Small is aproximately 21.25" to 22"
Medium is aproximately 22.25" to 22.75"
Large is approximately 23" to 23.75"
Handcrafted means limited availability.
As I am the only creator of your hat, I make a limited number of hats each month. I usually accept only a few custom orders at a time, so you may not see availability for custom orders if I have filled up my calendar. Please check back for open slots or feel free to contact me directly to see what my current availability is.
What kind of materials do I use and what colors?
This is a custom hat; you select the color(s) in your preferred finish. As well as other deco items like feathers, buttons, ribbon work, velvet leaf accents for certain hats.
I currently offer three wool felt finish styles: Furfelt is a flat smooth finish, velour has a softer velvety feel, and the salome style has a heathered look and is softer than the furfelt but not as soft as velour.
I now am using straw for select styles in various colors when you order your custom hat and request straw I will let you know what colors I can order for you.
In my listings I offer a range of colors and finish styles. I have selected the best finish for each style of hat but am always willing to try one of the other finishes. Please ask me before ordering to understand why I may not have added a finish to a particular style.
Feel free to contact me if you do not see a color you like. It is possible to order other colors depending on availability from my supplier.
I use only top quality wool felt hat bodies and do not buy the cheaper wool felt made in places like China.
